One by three chat

As I strolled through the street where I had spent 5 years of my college life, recalling the wonderful moments with my friends, a smile spread across my face. Nothing had changed around except that there were more people walking around and trying to cross the road amidst never ending traffic.
In the corner stood our favorite chat joint which was one of our most frequently visited eat out. We were 3 good friends, none of us was granted any pocket money at our homes. But we made a point to have a one by three chat out of the money we saved from bus charge or a stationary purchase. It was such fun to watch the chat maker’s face when we would buy a coupon for one bhel and ask him for three spoons. IN spite of getting only few spoonsfulls, the satisfaction that we derived out of it was immense. On days when we managed to save some extra money, it was a treat as we would order chocolate fudge- again one by three. The three of us were in separable and we always thought that where ever we went after passing out of college, we would make it a point to meet as often as possible.

Today, each of us is busy and successful in our respective lives. In spite of being able to afford a plate of bhel each we hardly have time to drop in a message to each other.

It takes not more than a minute to make an effort to keep in touch especially in today’s world of technology with so many social networking websites available and mobile phones obtainable at an arm’s reach.

It takes a day to like someone, it takes months to become good friends and it takes a lifetime to forget them.
Keep in touch.
